We are pleased to announce the addition of Finn to the Firefly Family. Finn comes to us from Cherrystone Weimaraners and Pam Cherry, in South Carolina. We are thankful that Pam has let this special boy join us here in the Lone Star State. We are looking forward to raising this very versatile pup to excel in many venues. *****Finn passed his AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Certification. He was the only puppy in his puppy class to achieve this. We are extremely proud of this pup and look forward to his amazing future.
*****Finn and I have been in training at Spanish Oaks Hunt Club, with Keith Barr for the last month. Finn has held several points, and had a beautiful point and was steady to wing and shot on his first Chukkar. I am extremely proud of this boy living up to expectations and beyond.
****3/5/2011~~~~Finn passed his NAVHDA Natural Ability Test with a Prize 1 and a perfect score of 112! We had wonderful comments from the judges as to the impression this boy made and his ability!
****4/17-18/2011~~Finn was entered in his first AKC All Breed Shows in Austin Texas, he was Winners Dog and Best of Breed, both days, for his first 2 points towards his AKC Championship. He was a good boy in the Group ring on Saturday. We are very happy with this puppy.
****9/11/11~~Finn finished his UKC CH in fine fashion with a Group 1 over the #1 Golden Retriever and #1 MC Std. Poodle, he also has several group placements leading to his CH and several as a special
****7/15/12~~Finn is currently sitting at 8 points for his AKC Bench Championship, with both his majors. His first major came at the San Antonio summer cluster in 2011, under judge Susan St. John Brown and his second at the prestigious spring Fort Worth cluster, under judge Clay Coady. With limited showing Finn is continuing to do well in the ring with several nice reserves to majors and winning the Open dog class each day at the summer Dallas cluster.
****Finn made his Obedience Debut in October 2012 at the WCA Nationals in Beginner Novice. He placed second with a 182 and finished the title less than 2 weeks later with 2 3rd places and scores of 185. He is continuing training for his CD and CDX. Finn also achieved his NRD rating at the Nationals.
***12-31-12 Finn is currently at 10 points for his AKC CH with both majors.
***1-30-13 Finn is currently in training with David Downing of Blue Ridge Brittanys and Kennels for Gun Dog stakes in Field Trials.

Finn has made a wonderful companion, as well as a versatile hunting partner, he can go from the couch to the field without missing a step or a retrieve. Having several seasons of dove, quail, and duck under his collar have made him a integral part of our yearly hunting adventures. We wouldn't have plenty to eat without his nose and determination to not leave a runner behind.
Finn, unfortunately due to Retinal Degeneration, Distichiasis, and an Incipient Cataract, has been neutered and is retired from the ring and field trials. He will continue to be a companion hunter and a excellent puppy raiser for our litters of Brittany puppies.
Unfortunately on 6-27-2016 we sadly let Finn begin his journey to the Rainbow Bridge. He is gone too soon.
Gone from my sight not from my heart....til we meet again my sweet one.
